Buninyong Gold King Festival

The Gold King Festival is held in-and-around the village of Buninyong providing a community-based festival for residents and visitors celebrating the spirit of the “Gold King”, Henry Joseph Desoza. 

The festival showcases village life, affording an opportunity for community and volunteer groups to raise funds. City slickers can join in the fun of some of the old time country favourites; the Billy Cart Derby, Tug of War and Sand Shovelling contests attract good fields. There’s plenty of retail therapy to be found at the market and street stalls, with arts, crafts and music.
